Manchester’s City Centre has a wide variety of restaurants from Italian to Greek to Thai, there’s something to suit everyone’s taste.

If you want a quick lunch or snack, there are plenty of cafes, fast food outlets and sandwich shops. Fresh Cut is located near the end of Portland Street and sells a variety of freshly made sandwiches to take away. Eighth Day on Oxford Road is a vegetarian and vegan shop and cafe, serving hot and cold food.

For a more substantial meal there are many Italian restaurants including all the usual chains, such as Pizza Express, Bella Italia and Zizzi’s. One of the most highly rated restaurants in Manchester is the San Carlo, which has won many awards for its traditional Italian cuisine.
